The idea that has constituted the push to the foundation of the ensemble has been, beyond the common passion for the contemporary cultured music, a demand to return new emotional vigor to the experimentation and artistic creation, in contemporary field. The group has been founded by the composer A.Patron and from the tenor J.Lot in the year 2003. The different contemporary musical experiences of these two artists, have met in a solid able and careful musical group to return the same emotional impact to the public that the various composers (Berio, Maderna, Lygeti, etc.) they have engraved in the score. Among the experimentations of the group we also enumerate experiences of contamination in multimedia environment.

Among the great composers that have on purpose already written contemporary music for the MEM Ensemble, we remember:

Ferruccio Germani (PA, USA), Joseph Gentry Stephens (Arkansas, USA)

Those people who desired to commission musical executions to the group will be well welcomed.
