THE MAIN IDEA
The idea that has constituted the push to the foundation of the ensemble has been,
beyond the common passion for the contemporary cultured music, a demand to return
new emotional vigor to the experimentation and artistic creation, in contemporary
field. The Ensemble has been founded by the composer A.Patron and by the tenor J.Lot,
in Italy, at the beginning of the year 2003.
The different contemporary musical experiences of these two artists,
have met in a solid able and careful musical group to return the same emotional impact
to the public that the various composers (Berio, Maderna, Lygeti, Petrassi, etc.) have engraved
in the score. The choice of the other components of the group was focused on the professionalism
in the contemporary music field, in the ability to musically translate the creative thought,
on the high technical-performances of every single artist. Now the Ensemble is constituted by A.Patron, J.Lot,
L.R.Weathersby, C.Urli, F.Sperandio.
The project of the Ensemble has received since the debuts the consent of the criticism.
The peculiar characteristic of the Ensemble is its varying composition.
As a true orchestra that varies the number of his elements accondingly to the repertoire
to be performed, so the MEM Ensemble varies his own composition, the number of his components, due to the composer needs, due to the score.
The MEM Ensemble wants to be to best tool among the contemporary composer and the public, direct interlocutor of the same.
The composers that desire to write on purpose for the Ensemble will be well accepted.
Among the experimentations
of the group we also enumerate experiences of contamination in multimedia environment, including
the using of the light, the noise, the digital devices as well as the paintings.
